According to a small business review, the number of employers taking on remote workers has increased sharply over the last year.

Conducted by People Per Hour, who surveyed more than 45,000 British organisations, the poll found that 68% more businesses are hiring remote workers now than at this time last year.

71% of the respondents said that employing non-office based staff gave them greater flexibility and helped them make cost savings.
