According to a study commissioned by Microsoft, organisations can achieve a significant return on their investment by implementing Microsoft SharePoint Server.

The study was conducted by Forrester Consulting who conducted in-depth interviews with 11 Microsoft customers that have started using SharePoint. Forrester found that organisations can achieve significant financial benefits by consolidating collaboration, document management, internal and external portal software and search onto SharePoint Server 2010.

The results of the study have been compiled into a white paper, The Total Economic Impact of SharePoint Server 2010, which is available on the Microsoft website.
