UK companies are ahead of their American and German counterparts in achieving ISO 27001 certification, new statistics  have shown.

According to the international register of ISMS certificates, nearly 450 British companies have now achieved the standard, compared to less than 150 German companies and under a hundred companies in the US.

Japan and India lead the way in ISO 27001 certification, however, with nearly 3,500 Japanese companies having been awarded ISO 27001 status.
