CRM investment rising

According to the findings of a new survey, spending on customer relationship management (CRM) solutions will account for the largest share of enterprise software spending in 2011.

The survey was conducted by Gartner who interviewed more than 1,500 IT leaders of organisations in 40 countries. 42% of those surveyed said they expected to increase their spending on CRM software in 2011. This compared to 39% who said they intended to increase their investment in office suites and 36% percent who planned to increase their spend on enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.
