Explorer’s market share now under 60%

Recent posts (link to: www.systemsvalley.com/blog/blog-post/2010/05/03/mozilla-captures-30-of-browser-market.html) have discussed how alternatives to Internet Explorer are becoming more and more popular around the world, with Mozilla claiming 30% of the global browser market and Opera claiming 100 million users of its desktop and mobile web browsers.

So it is no surprise to read the news  that Microsoft Internet Explorer's share of the browser market slipped further last month.

According to the April report from traffic analysis firm Net Applications, Internet Explorer's share of the market dropped below 60% last month, part of an ongoing decline that has seen the market share for the Microsoft browser drop every month since June 2009 .
